Friends of the Elephant Seal is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating people about elephant seals and other marine life and to teaching stewardship for the ocean off this special place, the central coast of California.
Friends of the Elephant Seal counts on our dedicated volunteer guides to enhance public awareness and respect for the wonders of the natural marine environment. To cover FES costs, we rely on grants, memberships, and your donations.

Membership levels and benefits:
Friend: ($25/year) Just-For-Friends tours, seminars and eb page, E-Seal News, lapel pin, decal, 20% discount for FES merchandise, and the satisfaction of doing your part to protect these animals and the marine environment where they live.
Good Friend: ($50/year) All Friend benefits plus two Friends of the Elephant Seal caps.
Great Friend: ($100/year) All Good Friend benefits, (but the caps say Great Friend) and the book, Elephant Seals, is inscribed to you and personally signed by the authors.
Celestial Friend: ($250/year) All Great Friend benefits, (but the caps say Celestial Friend), the DVD, A Seal’s Life, and two party tickets.
Friend for Life: ($1500 once) All Celestial Friend benefits, (but the caps say, Friend for Life), two party tickets honored each year...for life.
